Water Fun - Pools & the Arabian Sea

We were in meetings a lot of the time that we were in Dubai but we swam every chance we got! We'd eat our meals quickly then race to get changed for the pool. Sometimes it was only for 15 minutes but it was so worth it! The water was super warm and salty! The kids absolutely loved the pools and enjoyed swimming in the Arabian Sea but that water was so salty that after one splash in the face they were done. Plus, the sand on the beach was so HOT that we could only get to the Arabian Sea earlier in the day or in late afternoon.

Click on the beautiful sunset picture below to see more of our water fun, sand castles, etc. It was amazing because the heat and humidity had such an effect on our camera that I could only take pictures after our camera had been outside for an hour. Otherwise all the pics were foggy and fuzzy.

Flying to Dubai

Whew! Now that we are into our school routine for Term 3, I am finally able to get to our pictures from our meeting in Dubai! What an adventure! This was Rebekah's first time flying. The trip there was a little rough but she did fine on the way back. The other kids LOVED watching movies for 8 hours!!

Our 2nd night there was "date night". Wow! The many people who came to serve us during the meeting also watched our kids so we could go out for a few hours. Once we learned there was a Krispy Kreme down the road we knew how we would spend our time!! It was a VERY HOT walk at 9pm but the A/C at Krispy Kreme and a delicious donut made it all worthwhile. We even brought some back for our kids.

During an afternoon session, we had an 80s party! Dan is all about the 80s so he got all the Trivia right-name that song, movie, TV show. He also got up and sang karaoke! He did a great job! He was even nominated as having one of the best 80s outfits. What a fun time!
